What’s New
Task Details – New Task Management Experience
The redesigned Task Details experience is now available in Workflow, providing a streamlined, single-page interface for configuring and managing tasks.
- Default OFF – The feature is disabled by default to support a phased rollout.
- Enablement – Client Administrators can enable Task Details via: Admin > Settings > UI → Enable New Task Details
- Improved Configuration Experience – A more structured layout for assignments, dependencies, and task settings reduces navigation and simplifies task setup
Known Issues: Planned updates targeted for an upcoming release.
- Validation Messaging – Some validation messages may display internal labels or inconsistent formatting
- Background Check Tasks – Saving without required configuration may not display clear feedback
- UI & Layout Polish – Minor inconsistencies in spacing, labels, and scrolling behavior may appear

Bulk Action – Forms Review & Approval
Bulk Action is now fully available and can be enabled by client administrators to support scalable, efficient form review and approval workflows.
- Enablement – Rival Administrators can enable Bulk Action via: Admin > Settings > Other: Enable Bulk Action for Forms
- Centralized Review – Review and approve multiple forms from a single dashboard
- Team Task Support – Includes team-assigned work in Bulk Action workflows
- Improved Preview & Reliability – More consistent preview experience before taking action
- PDF Signature Support – Approved forms now include signature details in generated PDFs
- Default Tab Support – Bulk Action loads correctly when set as a default dashboard tab

- Reopened Tasks – Signature Display – Approval signatures may remain visible when a completed task is reopened
- Cloned Events – Dependencies – Modifying tasks in cloned events may impact Form Review dependencies
- Classic Forms – PDF Formatting – Some PDFs may include extra blank pages or shifted signatures
- Preview (Slow Networks) – Temporary display issues may occur while preview content loads
- Form Review Tasks – Admin Visibility – Administrators may see an error when opening completed Form Review tasks if they are not the original assignee

Resolved Issues
Forms
- Forms Library – Search – Added search to the Forms Library, allowing administrators to quickly locate forms by name, description, or owner. This improves navigation and efficiency, especially in environments with large form libraries.
- Smart Forms – Dropdown & Selection Display – Form-generated content now displays user-friendly values for dropdowns, radio buttons, and checkboxes, improving clarity in completed forms and documents.
- Smart Forms – Merge Field Formatting – Improved handling of empty merge values to prevent extra blank lines in generated content, resulting in cleaner, more professional document output.
- Smart Forms – Default Value Population – Fixed an issue where fields configured with default Employee ID (HRISID) did not populate correctly. Fields now prefill, persist, and display as expected throughout form completion and output.
Dashboard Summary
- Preferred Name Display – The Dashboard Summary welcome banner now displays a user’s preferred name when available, with a fallback to first name, supporting a more personalized and inclusive experience.
Task Management
- Task Tree – Filtering Stability – Improved layout stability when applying filters, ensuring the task tree remains readable and structured when managing complex workflows.
Employee Portal
- Portal Task Navigation – Improved reliability when completing or canceling tasks from the portal, ensuring users are returned to the dashboard without interruption.
Hotfix (May 5)
Dashboard login error for standard users — Fixed an issue introduced in Workflow 2026.2.09 where users in standard roles (e.g., Assignee) were unable to access the Workflow dashboard. Affected users were redirected to an error page on login. This issue did not impact users in administrative roles. The hotfix resolves the error for all tenants, regardless of dashboard configuration.
