WORKFLOW Release 2025.3.17
VERSION 2025.3.17
What’s New
Employee Task page redesign
We’ve updated the user interface for the Employee Task Summary page under the Employee Task List to provide a cleaner, more intuitive experience for HR practitioners managing individual employee tasks. Key features include:
- Simplified task creation workflows
- Icon-based task management actions (add, clone, retire, delete) with interactive tooltips
- User-friendly interface that reduces the learning curve for task management
- Availability: Controlled by feature flag, defaulted to OFF. Admins with permission can enable in UI Settings.
Event Tree UI Redesign
We’ve modernized the Event Tree hierarchy with an enhanced visual interface that delivers better workflow comprehension and faster configuration compared to the legacy interface. Key features include:
- Drag-and-drop dependency management
- Improved hierarchy visualization
- Streamlined navigation for managing event flows
- Availability: Controlled by feature flag, defaulted to OFF. Admins with permission can enable in UI Settings.
Employee Task Navigation Enhancement
When a user navigates to an Employee Task Details page from the Find Employees search bar, they will navigate to the Employee Task list with updated UI.
Form Notification Attachment Generation
We enhanced Form notification attachments to properly handle Forms that reference list values, eliminating timeout issues during PDF creation. This improvement ensures that all referenced values (including Workflow lists, default values, and merge strings) are seamlessly provided to the PDF generation process, enabling task completion emails to successfully include complete Form attachments with full data reproduction.
In-App Notifications
The in-product notifications application has been enhanced to ensure that Workflow product users only see notifications directed to Workflow users.
Resolved Issues
Form Data Retention
We’ve resolved a critical bug affecting 2nd generation Form data retention between parent and dependent tasks. The issue occurred when forms were completed by different users and tasks were either manually added or triggered (rather than auto-generated by category criteria), causing form data to appear blank in dependent tasks. This particularly impacted workflows like offboarding events where team members complete initial forms that need to be referenced in subsequent read-only tasks. The fix ensures dependent tasks now properly display parent task Form data regardless of completion user or task creation method, maintaining data continuity across the entire workflow process.
Builder Form Issue – Header Cut Off
An issue arose with a logo header not displaying correctly (cut off due to sizing). Improved user guidelines to resolve the issue is to set limits for the banner heights and column sizing. NOTE: Adjusting the Printed Banner Height to 1.4 inches and reducing text input columns from 80 to 50 resolves the printing issue.
Coming Soon
ROSI Employee Agent (ETA end of August)
ROSI will soon help employees too! Rival OS Intelligence – our in-product AI assistant – will leverage documents uploaded to the portal to answer employees’ questions related to their job, company policies, processes and procedures.
Manage Events UI redesign (ETA end of September)
We’re redesigning the Events main page with a modern card-based interface to replace the outdated table layout. This overhaul will deliver cleaner visual organization, intuitive navigation, and enhanced mobile-friendly workflows that reduce cognitive overload for HR professionals managing multiple events. The new design features streamlined event creation processes, clear progress indicators, and quick access to complete event journeys—enabling teams to easily experiment with new events and adapt to changing needs while improving employee engagement and retention.
