WORKFLOW Release 2025.2.12

VERSION 2025.1.04

What’s New

API OAuth

The following API calls are now available for use via OAuth: Launch Event, XML UserEdit, GetFormsIDs, and GetTasks, as well as additional front end logging capability to OAuth Calls. Previously added were GetUserProfileEx2, GetUserIDList, and UpdateEvent.

Surveys Accessibility Improvement

The background color for Surveys has been adjusted so that it meets accessibility standards for all users.

Resolved Issues

In the new Dashboard Summary, the table header width for Assignees and Employees tables has been corrected to align with those of the Tasks tables.

An issue was reported with Dashboard Summary 2.0 being automatically re-enabled in Production sites following the upgrade to version 2025.2.11, along with the Audit Trail being cleared. This was due to a unique combination of labeling errors in backend schemas and other upgrade files. The upgrade file that re-enabled Dashboard Summary 2.0 will not run again.

To improve Workflow Advanced Analytics, an update was made to the format of User IDs within the code for pulling Analytics data in order to ensure proper data visibility across products.

As part of the previous 2025.2.12 release’s upgrade of OAuth implementation for GetFormsIDs, a client discovered an issue where they cannot access Webservices UI on sites recently upgraded to RC Version 2025.2.12, and application logs were showing the following error – Cannot use wildcards at the top level of a schema. The issue has been corrected, and a fix was added to the 2025.2.12 release to prevent interruptions.[Fix released during Staging to prevent Prod interruptions]

Coming Soon

Rival OS Intelligence (formerly CoPilot/Knowledge Agent)

(Staging June 23, Prod June 30) We will soon be launching ROSI – Rival OS Intelligence! Previously Rival Copilot assisted users by answering in-product questions, sourced by technical documentation. Now, ROSI will streamline HR workflows by automating routine tasks and delivering instant answers. From summarizing profiles to managing documents and events, ROSI reduces manual load so HR teams can move faster and focus on higher-impact work.

AI Event/Task Summary

(Staging June 23, Prod June 30) Rival is introducing artificial intelligence to condense complex workflow trees into clear, plain-English summaries instantly. Designed for high-volume, high-complexity scenarios like onboarding, compliance, or M&A, it gives stakeholders the clarity to launch, audit, and align faster across teams.

DT Migration

(ETA late Q2) Workflow will soon feature User Import of Dynamic Templates from the Staging environment to Production, which will allow clients to automatically move over their Forms without CSM assistance. Users will be able to import Dynamic Templates, Forms, and Surveys with a drag and drop feature, or by using a file selector.

Event Definition UX Enhancement

(ETA Q3) More concise formatting and language in the Events Definition page will create a smoother experience for users and set the stage for future improvements.

Dashboard Summary 2.0 Improvements

Post-MVP updates coming in Workflow version 2025.2.13 (ETA Staging June 23, Prod June 30) include:

  • Sort by Date – Users will be able to sort and filter the Dashboard Summary items by date to prioritize by deadline and check timelines.
  • Filter by Teams – Users will be able to filter by teams under the Team Tasks tab to more easily assess team performances. (Note: filter by teams under the My Tasks tab is coming soon).
  • Filtering Persists with Task Edits – An issue is occurring with the new Dashboard Summary on both My Tasks and Team Tasks tabs: when the user selects event(s), then edits a task (deletes/assigns/claims/reopens), the table value resets to the default (displaying all tasks) instead of displaying only the tasks from the selected event(s). The issue will be resolved, and only the task(s) from the selected event(s) will be displayed.
  • Column Sorting – Users will be able to sort each column in the Dashboard Summary. A Clear Filters button will be available so that filters can be removed and the default table restored. This capability of the previous Dashboard was requested by customers.
