As hiring and professional development needs continued to grow – and create a mountain of paperwork and data entry – the Qlarant HR team realized they needed to “seize an opportunity” internally. It was time to move to an integrated HR platform to power up reporting, eliminate paperwork and create a better employee experience.

Qlarant selected Rival for the company’s powerful combination of talent management and global HR business expertise. “We implemented the full suite, starting with Rival Onboard as it was a critical need. Rival Recruit was next since recruiting desperately needed automation. We replaced our old performance system with Rival Perform and implemented learning technology for the first time with Rival Learn,” said Lauren Dulin, Director of HR, Qlarant.

Qlarant experienced a big leap forward to support hiring over 100 employees a year by using Rival Recruit. That leap includes broader posting on job boards, easier online applications for candidates and less steps through integrated background checks. “Spreadsheets have been replaced by stronger reporting,” explains Dulin. “We can pull data quickly, which means status on candidates,
compliance and more is right at our fingertips.”




The company has also been able to create a smooth transition and powerful new hire experience once a candidate accepts an offer.

Qlarant was able to develop a more robust training program through Rival Learn. The company expanded courses and made it easier for employees and managers to participate by centralizing information. Participation for new hires is driven by tasks in Rival Onbard. Employees can log on to sign up for classes, receive reminders about the schedule and track what’s completed. It’s also easier for managers to know the status of training for their teams. Reports compile results for ISO compliance, which makes life easier for auditors.




Ease-of-use has risen to a whole new level with Rival Perform. “It’s so easy to administer, from creating forms to setting up review cycles,” said Dulin. “Our employees like it and find it simple to use, which was a big win since 42% of our workforce is remote.“ Employees and managers give the solution high marks for its ability to make remarks private or public. Dulin also stressed that it didn’t require any training – goals are easy to find, tasks require just a click and there’s a spot for notes.
